Beautifying Hollywood’s beauties may sound like a dream job
and it also just happens to be celebrity makeup artist Nick Barose’s reality!
Starting his career under the extremely talented wings of Kevyn Aucion, Barose
has since made a legendary career of his own, working with such red carpet elite
like Hilary Duff, Anne Hathaway and Zooey Deschanel.
Nick grew up in Thailand, initially practicing his future
artistic endeavor using his mother’s collection of Mary Quant makeup crayons, a
makeup favorite of the swinging sixties. In the 1990s, Barose left his homeland
and traveled to the bright lights of New York City to study at Parsons, but
soon realized his destiny was in the field of makeup artistry.
Like any gifted artist, Nick’s signature shows throughout
the work on his starlet clients – natural with emphatic glam. When he isn’t
glamming up the gorgeous, you can find Nick working Fashion Week, Oscars events,
in print in magazines like In Style, working with Clarins, and promoting
