Emmy's 2012: Hues to Toes

This year the Emmy red carpet hosted a colorful array of breath-taking gowns. Celebs dared to wear a rainbow of colors ranging from bright reds to vibrant emerald greens. Here are some of our favorite picks: 

 

Heidi Klum made our jaws drop in a stunning seafoam-green gown by Alexandre Vauthier. Her flawless tan complemented the soft color perfectly and looked as if she had just jetted back from an exotic beach for the award show! The Project Runway host completed the look with custom strappy heels designed by Charlotte Olympia, a Judith Leiber purse and jewels by Lorraine Schwartz.

Yellow was a celeb favorite on the red carpet this year and Claire Danes rocked the bold hue. The citrus creation is none other than Lanvin, topped with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and gold Barbara Bui heels. The gown’s draping camouflaged her baby bump perfectly as she accepted the award for Outstanding Drama Series on behalf of Homeland.

Ginnifer Goodwin is outrageous in orange! Her bight appliquéd dress was designed by Monique Lhuillier. Red soles were added à la Christian Louboutin as well as a sparkling Ferragamo clutch and jewels by Rona Pfeiffer and Graziela.

Sofia Vergara was dazzling in a beaded turquoise mermaid gown by designer Zuhair Murad. We could not keep our eyes off the Columbian bombshell as Modern Family won the award for Best Comedy Series. It didn’t help that she was wearing more than 175 carats of Neil Lane diamonds!
