"She's stunning. She's really,
really good looking. She just seemed to be very natural. She had that natural
beauty. She still does."--Sophie Butler, Kate's hairdresser at St. Andrews
Kate grew up in a village near
Newbury, Berkshire, England. She met her now husband, Prince William of Wales,
in 2001 while she studied in Scotland at the University of St Andrews. She
earned an undergraduate Master of Arts in History of Art.
Kate and William became engaged in
2010 during a trip to Kenya to celebrate William's passing of his RAF
helicopter search and rescue course. They married in April of 2011 to much
fanfare around the world.
Kate has created a major impact upon
British fashion which has been termed as the "Kate effect", and in
2012, Kate was selected as one of The 100 Most Influential People in the World
by Time Magazine, making this timeless beauty an international icon.
