On April 9th Chic Studios NYC Team had a chance to be at IMATS. Thanks to organizers, everybody was extremely happy.....what made the show special was that you could attend seminars without paying extra! For two days Famous Makeup Artists had been revealing their secrets: Roque Cozzette, Wanda Longo, Eve Pearl, Kevin James Bennett to name a few of the Educators, featured speakers Linda Mason and Valenté Frazier and keynote speakers LAN NGUYEN, ADRIEN MOROT, LOIE ZAKARIAN.
What was so inspiring for Chic Studios NYC??? Among such great seminars, the thing we really loved at the show was The BEAUTY/FANTASY Competition which took place on Saturday, the 2011 theme is Tribal Beauty. As we deal with students every day: teach, inspire, help them begin the careers, it was especially pleasant for us to watch the students working at the stage!! Although the time limit was only two hours, the students created gorgeous looks and managed to demonstrate their best skills and techniques!
We are waiting for the bigger venue next year - all tickets for IMATS were completely sold out days before the show!!!
Another great event we attended this week - Post-IMATS Networking Mixer. Thanks to the Makeup Meetup Group and its organizer Genivieve Santos who was so welcoming and encouraging!! We had a chance to meet up all together, make friends, have fun, discuss IMATS and the latest industry news. Lots of networking, fun and raffles: Makeup Forever Pro Seminars, Embryolisse gift set, compulsive cosmetics lipsticks, the brush belt and tickets to The Makeup Show! (Please, purchase them beforehand guys!!! Chic Studios NYC are at The Makeup Show 2nd year in a row!!!!;)
