LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT

What was your biggest beauty blunder? Maybe it was the eyeliner-overload during your high school years or that crazy teased hair in the 80’s? But don’t worry, even beauty lovers and fashionistas can’t ALWAYS get it right! Here are some celebs that prove that every woman makes beauty mistakes:

Oh Christina. Don't you know that zebra hair belongs only on animals. The shimmery blue eyeshadow just adds insult to injury. We love the polished you with a chic blonde bob and simple makeup.

Where to even begin? Gwen looks like a real-life Avatar. We much prefer her retro curls, smoldering dark eyes and glossy hot pink lips!

Halle Berry used to hide behind her head of curls. Instead of blending in with the crowd, her short pixie cut shows off her stunning features.

Can you believe these two pictures are of Mila Kunis? Now a red-carpet vet, Mila has learned to tame her tressed into touchable waves and has perfected her sexy stare.

Thankfully Kelly Osbourne has embraced the "less is more" motto. We love that she kept to her funky personal style with her lavender locks but ditched the goth makeup.

TRENDS OF THE GRAMMY'S

The Grammy Awards is one of our favorite award shows here at Chic Studios because of the risks taken on this red carpet! Grammy artists and "award show-goers" are not afraid to take risks and push the limits of fashion and beauty! Here are some of the top trends we loved:

Nude lips

Carrie Underwood, Kelly Rowland, Ashanti & Faith hill all rocked pretty & pale pouts at the Grammys. These ladies wore a nude lip to make other facets of their look pop- whether it was their glittering statement necklace, pretty up-dos or smokey eyes!

Cutouts

Even with the Grammys' new wardrobe guidelines ('no breasts, no buttocks'), celebs have taken measures to push the envelope- with cutouts! Kelly Osbourne, Natasha Bedingfield, Alicia Keys and Karlie Kloss all sported this skin-baring trend.

Up-dos with face framing pieces

With faces as striking as Taylor Swift and Alexa Chung’s, it’s no wonder these ladies swept back their locks to showcase their gorgeous features. However, they kept their up-dos fresh with loose and soft face framing layers.

A CHIC VALENTINE'S GIRLS NIGHT IN

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to just be about romance! Why not grab your best gal pals for a fun and stylish Girl’s Night In! Who needs cupid anyways?

These metallic copper invitations are glam and charming. Plus, they are deceptively super easy to DIY! You’ll only need a few supplies and the printable templates found here.

Sugary and salty, these chocolate covered pretzels will satisfy any sweet tooth! Get your chef on.

This pretty red cocktail is nicknamed “The Love Byte”. Garnished with a slice of blood orange, these drinks look ultra chic.

No party is complete without décor! These glitter LOVE letters will get your guests in the Valentine’s Day mindset.

Create personalized Valentine’s mailboxes for each guest. Ask everyone to bring hand-written valentines, embarrassing stories or small gifts for each friend!

Send your guests away with stylish chevron swag bags filled with goodies and candy to ensure a night they’ll remember!

These clothespin “Love” arrows were simply too cute to not feature. You can use them to seal your party favors or simply as decoration. We love the mix of textures with yarn, feathers and rhinestones.

We'd love to see pics of your Valentine's soiree with the girls! Follow everything Chic on our Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest!

SUPER BOWL: THE CHICEST

Only the Super Bowl could bring together rough and tumble football with a high-fashion mega diva and creative commercials. No matter what team you were rooting for, no viewer was disappointed by the jaw-dropping performance Beyonce put on, along with her army of digitized dancers and surprise guests Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams!

Ms. Sasha Fierce took to the stage in a leather and lace corset by Rubin Singer and Proenza Schouler heels. Her performance included some of her best hits, opening with “Love on Top” and continuing with “Crazy in Love”.

Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland literally popped out from the stage to join Beyonce and formed a Destiny’s Child reunion (Charlie’s Angels-style) performing “Bootylicious”, “Independent Women” and “Single Ladies”!

Beyonce killed it in the beauty department! A gray smoky eye with shimmers of copper intensified her eyes and her gold chevron manicure made certain that every last detail was perfect!

On to the chicest commercials of the night!

The Vegas showgirls in the Coca-Cola commercial oozed glamour, especially when they shot glitter at their race opponents! And who wouldn’t want to travel with their girlfriends in that pink bus? Did you know you can even vote to decide who the winner of the race will be? I guess you know our vote...

Next we have the Mercedes-Benz commercials featuring Kate Upton. Even though she doesn’t even do any real washing in the car wash commercial, the only thing hotter than a Mercedes CLA is Kate UptonKate wears a totally different look in the second Mercedes-Benz commercial going old-Hollywood glam in a Marilyn Monroe-esque white gown and retro waves
